 <\/span><\/span>IVS and Boli Land Ecology rice cultivation<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

In rural Sierra Leone, land ownership is vested in the community and\ncontrolled by family units. In our Group Economics Model, we work with\nrespective family units, using the cluster methodology to invest in the IVS and\nBoli Land ecologies, which favours rice cultivation in order to contribute to\nthe bread basket of the nation. Growing rice requires a warm temperature,\nplenty of water, a fertile soil, which are in good supply in the project areas.\n<\/span>Our swamp and Boli Land ecologies are endowed with plenty of underground\nwater resources to facilitate swift development of solar-powered boreholes,\nenabled by irrigation channels for rice cultivation and livestock farming for\nat least two harvest cycles in a year. <\/p>\n\n

With an expanded production capacity, and value-chain processing\nmechanism, the import expenditure of government will now be diverted to our\nlocal farming groups to lay a solid foundation for poverty reduction, and the\ncreation of wealth-building opportunities to support social progress.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Nutritional diet products: <\/span><\/b><\/p>

Key Livestock farming:<\/span><\/b><\/a> <\/span>Sierra Leone is a net importer of livestock products. According\nto revealed statistics, we import 80% of poultry, 70% of eggs, 90% of eaten\npork meat, a trend we are determined to reverse. Our product lines in livestock\nfarming constitutes large scale development for their nutritional values, which\nwill become a game changer in nutritional resilience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Snail farming:<\/span><\/b> <\/span>Snail farming is environmentally friendly, as it\nrequires low resources and contributes little to environmental pollution. It is\na growing agricultural venture that has gained popularity due to its\nprofitability, low setup cost, and rising demand for snail meat and snail\nby-products. As people become more health conscious, snail meat has seen an\nincrease in demand due to its high nutritional value, richness in protein, low\nfat potentials, and abundance in essential amino acids, iron, calcium, and\nmagnesium. <\/a><\/p>\n\nThe\ngrowth in health-conscious diets and the demand for collagen-rich products\nplaces snail farming in an excellent position for expansion. <\/span>Snail slime has valuable medicinal and cosmetic\napplications due to its regenerative properties. It is used in skin-care\nproducts for its ability to help with wound healing and skin rejuvenation, and\nincreasingly used in anti-aging treatments; with demand for other snail-based\nbeauty products and pharmaceutical applications growing globally, it opens up\nother revenue streams to our internal revenue generation strategy, making it a\nversatile business opportunity for economic empowerment.<\/span><\/h6>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Addressing Global Challenges in Climate Change <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n

We aim to leverage our\nparticipation in addressing global challenges in climate change through\nafforestation and climate resilient programmes, including climate smart\nagricultural initiatives in core food projects. <\/p>\n\n

Sierra Leone is fastly losing her\nforest covers through uncontrolled timber harvesting, bush clearing and burning\nfor upland rice cultivation.\nThe afforestation program will positively impact on wildlife protection and\nenvironmental outcomes in the long run.<\/span><\/p><\/h6>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Climate Resilient Technology Enhancement<\/span><\/b><\/p>

We are<\/b> programmed to take\nthe entrepreneurial approach to farming, backed by Agri-tech innovations to\nmake nutritional foods affordable, accessible, and available to the population.\nWe will design home-grown adaptable software packages and technologies, including\ncontainerized solar-driven cold rooms to enhance food preservation and\npost-harvest controls, CCTV cameras for farm site security, commissioning solar\npowered farm potentials to support farm site and reduce fossil fuel use to\ndampen greenhouse effects on our industrial sites. These technologies will\nleverage our effort for seamless oversight and administration of programmes. <\/p><\/h6>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Support to Agricultural Cooperative Credit Union Members to Galvanize\nTrade and Export of Cash Crop Produce.<\/span><\/b><\/a><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n\n

We will collaborate with a network of twelve\n(12) local buyer cooperatives, with an initial sustained membership of over 2,\n000 farmers to build capacities both technically and financially. Such outcomes\nwill subscribe to a big boost to our financial independence to enable us scale\nand expand programme portfolios, which will in turn promote the ability of\nfarmer members to increase disposable incomes to enhance accessibility,\naffordability, and enjoyment of a wide spread of decent livelihood support\nsystems in rural communities.
